POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR (for Rear Door) INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01IQ48E01

      Check that the window regulator moves smoothly as follows.

      Note

      Do not apply positive (+) battery voltage to any terminal other than terminal 2 (B) to avoid damaging the pulse sensor inside the motor.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      1. Connect the positive (+) battery terminal to terminal 2 (B), and connect the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 1 (GND), and keep them connected for 3 seconds or more.

      2. With terminals 2 (B) and 1 (GND) connected to the battery, connect the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 10 (UP).

      3. Disconnect and reconnect the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 10 (UP) within 1 second.

      		 Arm of window regulator rotates clockwise (UP)

      1. Connect the positive (+) battery terminal to terminal 2 (B), and connect the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 1 (GND), and keep them connected for 3 seconds or more.

      2. With terminals 2 (B) and 1 (GND) connected to the battery, connect the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 7 (DOWN).

      3. Disconnect and reconnect the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 7 (DOWN) within 1 second.

      		 Arm of window regulator rotates counterclockwise (DOWN)

      • If the result is not as specified, replace the power window regulator motor assembly.

      CAUTION:

      Reset the door window regulator (initialize the pulse sensor) after installing the door window regulator to the door.

      Check that the window regulator moves smoothly as follows.

      Note

      Do not apply positive (+) battery voltage to any terminal other than terminal 2 (B) to avoid damaging the pulse sensor inside the motor.

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      1. Connect the positive (+) battery terminal to terminal 2 (B), and connect the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 1 (GND), and keep them connected for 3 seconds or more.

      2. With terminals 2 (B) and 1 (GND) connected to the battery, connect the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 10 (UP).

      3. Disconnect and reconnect the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 10 (UP) within 1 second.

      		 Arm of window regulator rotates counterclockwise (UP)

      1. Connect the positive (+) battery terminal to terminal 2 (B), and connect the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 1 (GND), and keep them connected for 3 seconds or more.

      2. With terminals 2 (B) and 1 (GND) connected to the battery, connect the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 7 (DOWN).

      3. Disconnect and reconnect the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 7 (DOWN) within 1 second.

      		 Arm of window regulator rotates clockwise (DOWN)

      • If the result is not as specified, replace the regulator assembly.

      CAUTION:

      Reset the door window regulator (initialize the pulse sensor) after installing the door window regulator to the door.
