POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR (for Rear Door) REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL LH


    1. A01IQU5

      Using moulding remover A, detach the 3 claws and remove the bezel.

  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM MOULDING LH


    1. A01IPQA

      Using moulding remover A, detach the 8 claws and remove the rear door trim moulding.

  5. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL

      Using moulding remover A, detach the 4 claws.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01IP0B

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Using a clip remover, detach the 10 clips.

      *1 w/ Rear Door Sunshade
      *2 w/o Rear Door Sunshade

      Pull out the rear door trim board in the direction indicated by the arrow.

      Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.

    5. A01IPSA

      Detach the claw and remove the clamp.

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01IOXV

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the inside handle sub-assembly from the rear door trim board.

  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH


    1. A01IOT0

      Detach the 4 claws and remove the inner glass weatherstrip.

  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH


    1. A01IO5U

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. A01IT7B

      Remove the service hole cover.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the remaining tape on the door.

  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH


    1. A01IS5C

      Remove the rear door glass run.

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. w/ Power Window:


      1. Temporarily install the regulator switch assembly.

      2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

      3. Operate the regulator switch until the regulator reaches its bottom dead center.

      4. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

        Note

        When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

      5. Remove the regulator switch assembly.

    2. w/o Power Window:


      1. Temporarily install the rear door window regulator handle assembly.

      2. Turn the handle until the regulator reaches its bottom dead center.

      3. Remove the rear door window regulator handle assembly.

    3. A01ISN0

      Remove the screw.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts and rear door window division bar sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS LH


    1. A01IOC0

      Remove the rear door quarter window glass and rear door quarter window weatherstrip as a unit as shown in the illustration.

  13. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01INDA

      Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly from the rear door window regulator sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not damage the door glass.

  14. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY LH

      *1 Temporary Bolt

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Loosen the temporary bolt.

      Note

      Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the rear door window regulator may fall and cause damage.

    3. Remove the 3 bolts.

    4. Remove the rear door window regulator assembly.

    5. Remove the temporary bolt from the rear door window regulator.
