      Remove the map light Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      8 (UP) - 1 (GND) Open switch is pressed Below 1 Ω
      8 (UP) - 1 (GND) Open switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
      9 (DOWN) - 1 (GND) Close switch is pressed Below 1 Ω
      9 (DOWN) - 1 (GND) Close switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher

      Disconnect the z3 sliding roof drive gear connector.

    2. Disconnect the Q7 map light connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z3-7 - Q7-8 (UP) Always Below 1 Ω
      z3-9 - Q7-9 (DOWN) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q7-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      z3-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      z3-7 or Q7-8 (UP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      z3-9 or Q7-9 (DOWN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
