INITIALIZE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR
Note
When removing and then reinstalling the sliding roof drive gear, the sliding roof drive gear requires initialization. If a reset is not executed, the following functions do not operate: auto operation and jam protection operation.
Use the map light (roof sunshade switch) to perform the initialization.
Tech Tips
When the cable is disconnected and reconnected to the negative (-) battery terminal or the drive gear connector is disconnected and reconnected, the sliding roof drive gear (pulse sensor initial position setting) initialization is not necessary.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Operate the roof sunshade so that it moves to the fully open position.
Push and hold the open switch on the map light (roof sunshade switch) until initialization is complete.
Tech Tips
When it is detected that the motor is locked (the roof sunshade has moved further to the rear than the fully open position), the detected position is set as the position information.
After the motor locks, the final part of the initialization will start and the roof sunshade will continue to move until it reaches the fully open position, where it then stops.
