FRONT EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR DISASSEMBLY

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. REMOVE MODE DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 screws and mode damper servo sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR MIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)


    1. A01IPKT

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 screws and No. 2 air mix damper servo sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE AIR MIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)


    1. A01IQZ6

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 screws and air mix damper servo sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the No. 2 heater control cable sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  5. REMOVE AIR MIX DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the air mix damper control cable sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  6. REMOVE QUICK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ PTC Heater)

      Detach the clamp.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. A01IMXW

      Remove the quick heater assembly as shown in the illustration.

  7. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)


    1. Disconnect the connector.

      A01IR95

    2. Detach each clamp and remove the air conditioning harness.

  8. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE MOUNTING BRACKET

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the upper console mounting bracket.

  9. REMOVE CONSOLE MOUNTING BRACKET LH


    1. A01IUOT

      Remove the screw and console mounting bracket LH.

  10. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01IT5L

      Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the air conditioning amplifier assembly as shown in the illustration.

  11. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the air conditioning duct sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE DRAIN COOLER HOSE


    1. A01IT0U

      Remove the drain cooler hose from the air conditioning radiator assembly.

  13. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *1 Clamp

      Remove the screw and clamp.

    2. Remove the heater radiator unit sub-assembly from the air conditioning unit assembly.

  14. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE

      Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts and cooler expansion valve.

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01IT75

      Remove the 4 screws.

    2. A01IRG1

      Detach the 4 claws and remove the lower heater case as shown in the illustration.

    3. A01IR1H

      Detach the clamp, and remove the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly together with the No. 1 cooler thermistor.

    4. Remove the 2 O-rings from the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.

  16. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER THERMISTOR

      Remove the No. 1 cooler thermistor from the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.
