FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY DISASSEMBLY

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP LH

      Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  2. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB CAP (for Driver Side)

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the vertical seat adjuster knob cap.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (for Driver Side)

      Remove the 2 screws and vertical adjusting handle LH.

  4. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

      Raise the reclining adjuster release handle LH to reveal the claw. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Detach the 2 hooks and disconnect the 2 rubber bands.

    2. A01IRWW

      Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Pull the front seat cushion shield LH to detach the claw.

    4. Slide the front seat cushion shield LH to detach the 2 hooks and remove the front seat cushion shield LH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Remove the screw.

    2. Pull the front seat inner cushion shield LH to detach the hook and claw.

      Slide the front seat inner cushion shield LH to detach the hook and remove the front seat inner cushion shield LH.

    4. Detach the wire harness clamp.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT UNDER TRAY (w/ Under Tray)

      Detach the 2 hooks and remove the front seat under tray.

  8. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Perform this procedure when it is necessary to remove and reinstall or replace the separate type front seatback assembly.


    1. Detach the 2 hooks.

    2. Remove the screw and outer reclining adjuster cover LH.

      A01IO56

    3. Remove the screw and outer reclining adjuster cover RH.

      for Driver Side:

      Disconnect the airbag wire harness.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the airbag wire harness or connector.


      1. Detach the claw and disconnect the airbag connector.

      2. Detach the claw, open the seat track control cable clamp and disconnect the airbag wire harness.

      3. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

      4. Detach the piece of fastening tape and disconnect the airbag wire harness.

        w/ Seat Heater System:

        Disconnect the connector.

      for Front Passenger Side:

      Disconnect the airbag wire harness.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the airbag wire harness or connector.


      1. Detach the claw and disconnect the airbag connector.

      2. Detach the claw, open the seat track control cable clamp and disconnect the airbag wire harness.

      3. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

      4. Detach the piece of fastening tape and disconnect the airbag wire harness.

        w/ Seat Heater System:

        Disconnect the connector.

      Remove the 4 bolts and separate type front seatback assembly.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Detach the 2 hooks and open the seatback cover as shown in the illustration.

    2. for Driver Side:

      Disconnect the connector and detach the clamps.

    3. for Passenger Side:

      Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps.

      Remove the nut and front seat inner belt.

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

      Remove the 2 front seat cushion edge protectors.

  11. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      Detach the piece of fastening tape and disconnect the airbag wire harness from the seat cushion cover with pad.

      Detach the 2 hooks and disconnect the connector holder.

    3. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. A01IRLA

        Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.

      2. A01ITSBE01

        Disconnect the connector.

    4. Detach the wire harness clamp and 3 hooks.

      Detach the hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

  12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

      Remove the hog rings and separate type front seat cushion cover from the front seat cushion pad.

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

      Cut off the tack pins and remove the front seat cushion heater assembly LH from the separate type front seat cushion cover.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK TABLE ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Table)

      Remove the 4 screws and front seatback table assembly LH.

  15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Remove the hog rings from the 2 wires of the separate type front seatback cover.

      Detach the 2 hooks.

    3. Remove the hog rings and detach the 2 straps of the separate type front seatback cover.

    13. Detach the 2 hooks and remove the separate type front seatback cover.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the cover.

  16. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

      Cut off the tack pins and remove the front seatback heater assembly LH from the separate type front seatback cover.

  17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

      Remove the separate type front seatback pad.

    2. A01IOYD

      Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

  18. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

      Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the hook and remove the upper reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  19. REMOVE LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

      Remove the screw and lower reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  20. REMOVE UPPER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  21. REMOVE LOWER RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

  22. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Remove the screw and front seat lower cushion shield LH.

  24. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH

      Detach the 5 wire harness clamps.

    2. A01IQZV

      Remove the 4 bolts and front seat adjuster assembly LH from the front seatback spring sub-assembly.

  25. REMOVE SEAT TRACK CONTROL CABLE CLAMP

      Detach the claw and remove the seat track control cable clamp.

  26. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY

      Remove the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly from the front seat adjuster assembly LH in the order shown in the illustration.

  27. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION PROTECTOR


    1. A01IO17

      Detach the 4 hooks and remove the front No. 1 seat cushion protector from the front seat cushion spring.

  28. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SEAT CUSHION PROTECTOR


    1. A01IR20

      Detach the 6 hooks and remove the front No. 2 seat cushion protector from the front seat cushion spring.

  29. REMOVE SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE


    1. A01INOX

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 springs and remove the seat track adjusting handle from the front seat adjuster assembly LH.
