GENERATOR INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A01IR0LE02

      Using an E12 "TORX" socket wrench, install the generator assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      38 N*m  { 387 kgf*cm, 28 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Install the generator assembly with bolt A inserted as shown in the illustration.

    2. Connect the generator wire with the nut.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 129 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    3. Install the terminal cap.

    4. Connect the generator connector.

  2. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT


    1. Rotate the pulley of the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly clockwise, and then install the fan and generator V belt.

      Note

      Make sure that the fan and generator V belt is set properly on each pulley.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT RH


    1. A01IQDXE01

      Install the front suspension member reinforcement RH with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      99 N*m  { 1010 kgf*cm, 73 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

  4. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH


    1. Install the rear engine under cover RH with the 5 clips.

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER


    1. Install the No. 1 engine under cover with the 11 clips and 6 bolts.

  6. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER


    1. Attach the 4 hooks and install the radiator support opening cover.

    2. Install the 3 clips.

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

      Attach the 4 clips to install the No. 1 engine cover.

      Tech Tips

      When attaching the clips, press the protrusions on the top of the No. 1 engine cover at the clip installation points.

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
