ULTRASONIC SENSOR (for Rear) REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER


    1. A01ISJG

      Remove the 5 clips and No. 1 floor under cover.

  2. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER


    1. A01IMZC

      Remove the screw.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    2. Put protective tape around the rear bumper cover.

    3. Remove the 5 clips and 2 bolts.

    4. Detach the 10 claws.

    5. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:

      Disconnect the No. 4 floor wire connector.

    6. Remove the rear bumper cover.

  3. REMOVE NO. 4 FLOOR WIRE


    1. Remove the 4 pieces of tape.

    2. Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    3. Detach the 4 clamps and remove the No. 4 floor wire.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.


    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for both No. 1 ultrasonic sensor clips.


    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor clip as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor clip as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER

    Use the same procedure for both No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainers.


    1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER

    Use the same procedure for both No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainers.


    1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainer.
