  • Use these procedures to troubleshoot the rear view monitor system.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE


    1. Measure the battery voltage with the ignition switch off.

      Standard voltage
      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK DTC OF NAVIGATION SYSTEM OR AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM


    1. w/ Navigation System:

      Refer to DTC Check/Clear procedures of the navigation system Click here.

    2. w/o Navigation System:

      Refer to DTC Check/Clear procedures of the audio and visual system Click here.

  4. CHECK FOR DTC*


    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output Click here.

    2. Clear the DTC Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.
