FRONT BUMPER REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE

    A01IOJ7

    1. Attach the 14 claws to install the lower No. 1 radiator grille.

  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH

    A01IS28

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front bumper hole cover.

  3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  4. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM

    1. Attach the 4 claws and 2 guides to install the radiator grille (or front panel) emblem.

  5. INSTALL UPPER FRONT BUMPER RETAINER

    A01IOSG

    1. Install the upper front bumper retainer with the 4 clips.

  6. INSTALL FRONT HOOD TO END PANEL SEAL

    Tech Tips

    When installing the front hood to end panel seal, heat the front bumper surface using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Front Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the front bumper cover excessively.


    1. Clean the front bumper surface cover.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the front bumper cover surface.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install a new front hood to end panel seal.


      1. Remove the peeling paper from the face of a new front hood to end panel seal.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      2. Install the front hood to end panel seal.

      Install the 4 clips.

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR GRILLE SEAL

    1. Attach the 6 claws to install the No. 2 radiator grille seal.

    2. Install the 2 screws.

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE SEAL

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 radiator grille seal.

  9. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE

    1. Attach the 18 claws to install the radiator grille.

  10. INSTALL FOG LIGHT COVER LH

      w/o Fog Light:

      Attach the 6 claws to install the fog light cover.

    2. A01IN5S

      w/ Fog Light:

      Attach the 6 claws to install the fog light cover.

  11. INSTALL FOG LIGHT COVER RH

  12. INSTALL FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Fog Light)

      Install the fog light with the screw.

  14. INSTALL HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

      Attach the 2 claws to install the headlight washer actuator sub-assembly.

      Install the 2 screws.

  16. INSTALL HEADLIGHT WASHER NOZZLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

      Attach the claw to install the headlight washer nozzle.

  17. INSTALL HEADLIGHT WASHER NOZZLE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  18. INSTALL HEADLIGHT WASHER HOSE (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

      Attach the 6 clamps to install the hose to the front bumper.

    2. Connect the headlight washer hose to the headlight washer actuator sub-assemblies.

  19. INSTALL FRONT SPOILER COVER RH

    1. Attach the 5 claws to install the front spoiler cover.

  20. INSTALL FRONT SPOILER COVER LH

    1. Attach the guide and 5 claws to install the front spoiler cover.

    2. Install the screw.

  21. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

    Tech Tips


    • Align the slit of the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer with the protrusion of the front bumper cover and install the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer.

    • Pay attention to the protrusions of the front bumper cover as the orientation of the retainer changes depending on the installation position.

    • Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainers.

      Attach the 4 claws to install the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer to the front bumper cover.

      Note

      Do not damage the bumper cover with the protrusion when installing the retainer.

  22. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

    Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensor clips.


    1. Attach the claw to install the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor clip.

  23. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

    Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

  24. INSTALL NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. When using a new front bumper cover:

      Clean the front bumper cover surface.

    2. When reusing the front bumper cover:

      Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    3. Attach the 7 clamps to install the No. 4 engine room wire.

    4. Connect the 4 connectors.

    5. Install 4 new pieces of tape as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Align the tape with the mark-off line of the front bumper.
