PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR)


    1. Using the intelligent tester, perform the Active Test Click here.

    1. Disconnect the A49 headlight leveling ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the A58*1 or A62*2 headlight connector.


      • *1: for LH

      • *2: for RH

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LH
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A49-11 (LHT) - A58-1 (LH T) Always Below 1 Ω
      A49-18 (LH+) - A58-2 (LHM+) Always Below 1 Ω
      A49-24 (LH-) - A58-3 (LH E) Always Below 1 Ω
      A49-11 (LHT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A49-18 (LH+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A49-24 (LH-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RH
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A49-10 (RHT) - A62-1 (RH T) Always Below 1 Ω
      A49-17 (RH+) - A62-2 (RHM+) Always Below 1 Ω
      A49-23 (RH-) - A62-3 (RH E) Always Below 1 Ω
      A49-10 (RHT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A49-17 (RH+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A49-23 (RH-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. Temporarily replace the headlight leveling ECU assembly with a new or normally functioning one Click here for LHD, Click here for RHD).

    2. Perform the Active Test of the leveling motors Click here.
