REAR COIL SPRING REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEELS

  2. REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ HID Headlight)


    1. A01ITMT

      Remove the 2 bolts and rear height control sensor.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

  3. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH


    1. A01IN3J

      Remove the nut, 2 bolts and rear floor side member cover LH.

  4. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH


    1. A01ISBE

      Remove the nut, 2 bolts and rear floor side member cover RH.

  5. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *1 Clip

      Remove the 4 bolts, detach the clip and remove the rear floor side member brace.

  6. DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (for LH Side)


    1. A01IND7

      Remove the nut and sensor clamp.

    2. A01IUGL

      Detach the 2 grommets.

    3. Disconnect the skid control sensor wire connector from the skid control sensor.

  7. DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (for RH Side)

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. LOOSEN REAR AXLE BEAM ASSEMBLY


    1. A01IPXP

      Support the rear axle beam assembly using an engine lift and 2 wooden blocks as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01ISOHE04

      Loosen the 2 bolts.

      Note

      Do not remove the bolts.

  9. DISCONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01IQLH

      Remove the bolt while holding the nut and disconnect the rear shock absorber LH.

      Note

      Do not turn the nut.

  10. DISCONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING LH


    1. A01IOWYE01

      Slowly lower the engine lift and remove the rear coil spring.

      Note


      • When reusing the rear coil spring, make sure that the identification marks are at the position shown in the illustration.

      • If the identification marks have come off, apply new paint at the positions shown in the illustration.

      • When moving the rear axle beam assembly beyond full rebound, make sure that the beam is not out of position for more than 10 minutes.

  12. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING UPPER INSULATOR LH

  13. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING LOWER INSULATOR LH

  14. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
