REAR AXLE HUB INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01IN1O

      Install the rear axle hub and bearing assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      90 N*m  { 918 kgf*cm, 66 ft.*lbf }
  2. CONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE


    1. A01IRNB

      Connect the skid control sensor wire connector to the skid control sensor.

      Note

      Do not twist the sensor wire when installing the clamp.

  3. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS


    1. A01ITODE01

      Using a dial indicator, check for looseness near the center of the axle hub.

      Maximum looseness
      0.05 mm (0.00197 in.)

      Note

      Make sure that the dial indicator is set perpendicular to the measurement surface.

      Tech Tips

      If the looseness is more than the maximum, replace the axle hub assembly.

  4. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT


    1. A01INL3E01

      Using a dial indicator, check for runout on the surface of the axle hub inside the rear axle hub bolts.

      Maximum runout
      0.08 mm (0.00314 in.)

      Note


      • Make sure that the dial indicator is set perpendicular to the measurement surface.

      • Make sure to set the tip of the dial indicator inside the rear axle hub bolt.

      If the runout is more than the maximum, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

  5. INSTALL REAR DISC

      *1 Matchmark

      Align the matchmarks and install the rear disc.

    2. Install the shoe adjusting hole plug.

  6. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01IQLJ

      Connect the rear disc brake cylinder with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      57 N*m  { 585 kgf*cm, 42 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Do not twist the brake hose.

      • Make sure that the bolts are free from damage and foreign matter.

  7. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
  8. INSPECT REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT


    1. Inspect the rear wheel alignment Click here.

  9. CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL


    1. Check the speed sensor signal Click here.
