Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
REMOVE REAR WHEEL
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the rear disc brake cylinder.
Note
Do not disconnect the flexible hose from the disc brake cylinder.
Do not twist or bend the flexible hose.
Hang the disc brake cylinder with a piece of wire.
REMOVE REAR DISC

Put matchmarks on the rear disc and axle hub if planning to reuse the disc.
Remove the shoe adjusting hole plug.
Turn the shoe adjuster until the disc turns freely, and then remove the disc.
INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS
Using a dial indicator, check for looseness near the center of the axle hub.

Note
Make sure that the dial indicator is set perpendicular to the measurement surface.
Tech Tips
If the looseness is more than the maximum, replace the axle hub assembly.
INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT
Using a dial indicator, check for runout on the surface of the axle hub inside the rear axle hub bolts.

Note
Make sure that the dial indicator is set perpendicular to the measurement surface.
Make sure to set the tip of the dial indicator inside the rear axle hub bolt.
If the runout is more than the maximum, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
INSTALL REAR DISC

Align the matchmarks and install the rear disc.
Install the shoe adjusting hole plug.
