FRONT DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER


    1. A01ISXU

      Remove the 11 clips, 6 bolts and under cover.

  2. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH


    1. A01IP88

      Remove the 5 clips and under cover RH.

  3. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH


    1. Remove the 5 clips and under cover.

  4. DRAIN CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

    A01IOQ2

    1. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket from the continuously variable transaxle.

    2. A01ITXR

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube from the oil pan and drain the fluid.

    3. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, install the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube to the oil pan.

      Torque:
      1.7 N*m  { 17 kgf*cm, 15 in.*lbf }
    4. A01IOQ2

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, install a new gasket and the overflow plug to the oil pan.

      Torque:
      40 N*m  { 408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

  5. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH AND RH


    1. Remove the front drive shaft LH and RH Click here.

  6. REMOVE CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL LH

    1. Using SST, tap out the oil seal from the transaxle case.

      SST

      Note

      Do not damage the transaxle case.

  7. REMOVE CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL RH

    A01IU1UE01

    1. Using SST, tap out the oil seal from the transaxle housing.

      Note

      Do not damage the transaxle housing.

  8. INSTALL CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL LH

    A01IN9NE01

    1. Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal to the transaxle case.

      SST
      09950-70010   ( 09951-07200 )
      09554-14010
      Standard depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the lip of the oil seal.

    2. Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.

  9. INSTALL CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL RH


    1. A01IQR3E01

      Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal to the transaxle housing.

      Standard depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the lip of the oil seal.

    2. Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.

  10. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH AND RH


    1. Install the front drive shaft LH and RH Click here.

  11. ADD CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID


    1. Add continuously variable transaxle fluid Click here.

  12. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH


    1. Install the under cover LH with the 5 clips.

  13. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH


    1. A01IP88

      Install the under cover RH with the 5 clips.

  14. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER


    1. A01ISXU

      Install the under cover with the 11 clips and 6 bolts.
