CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER (for 1AD-FTV, 2AD-FHV) REMOVAL

    REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER

      Remove the clip and battery service hole cover.

    PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here)

    DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).

    DISCONNECT CABLE FROM POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  5. Click here

    REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

      Remove the 5 clips and radiator support opening cover.

  6. Click here

    REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and loosen the nut.

    2. Detach the hook of the battery clamp from the battery carrier, and then remove the battery clamp.

    REMOVE BATTERY INSULATOR

  8. Click here

    REMOVE BATTERY

  9. Click here

    REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

  10. Click here

    DISCONNECT CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER TO ACCUMULATOR TUBE

      Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the clutch release cylinder to accumulator tube.

      Tip:

      Use a container to catch the fluid.

  11. Click here

    REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 bolts, clutch release cylinder assembly and No. 1 clutch tube bracket.

  12. Click here

    REMOVE RELEASE CYLINDER BLEEDER PLUG


    1. Remove the boot from the cylinder body.

      Remove the release cylinder bleeder plug from the cylinder body.

  13. Click here

    REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER KIT


    1. Remove the push rod from the cylinder body.

    2. A01IPG2

      Using compressed air, remove the piston and spring from the cylinder body.

    3. Remove the bleeder plug cap from the bleeder plug.

      Note:

      Do not damage the inside of the cylinder body.
