PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

      Hold the rear of the cover and slowly raise it to detach the clip on the rear of the cover. Continue to raise the cover to detach the 3 clips on the front and side of the cover and remove the cover.

      Note

      Attempting to disengage both front and rear clips at the same time may cause the cover to break.

  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP AND HOSE

      Detach the clamp and disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.

    2. Disconnect the PCV hose.

    3. Disconnect the air cleaner hose.

    4. Detach the 4 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap.

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 bolts and air cleaner case.

  4. REMOVE FUEL FILTER SUPPORT

    1. Disconnect the connector and detach the 2 wire harness clamps and connector clamp, and then disconnect the engine wire from the fuel filter support.

    2. Remove 2 nuts and disconnect the fuel filter assembly.

      Detach the connector clamp from the fuel filter support.

    4. Remove the 4 bolts and fuel filter support.

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER BRACKET

    1. Remove the 3 bolts and air cleaner bracket.

  6. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

    1. Move the shift lever to N.

    2. Remove the nut and disconnect the control cable from the control shaft lever.

  7. REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the park/neutral position switch connector.

      Remove the nut, washer and control shaft lever from the control shaft.

    3. A01IN2Z

      Remove the 2 bolts and pull out the park/neutral position switch to remove it from the control shaft.
