DESCRIPTION

If a malfunction (a rapid change in vehicle speed) in the vehicle speed signal being output from the skid control ECU is detected while cruise control is in operation, the ECM determines there to be a momentary interruption or noise and stores a DTC.

  1. Click here

    CHECK FOR DTC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

      OK
      Vehicle stability control system DTCs are not output.

  2. Click here

    CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    2. Perform the following to make sure the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tip:

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.


      1. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or more.

      2. Turn the cruise control switch on.

      3. Push the cruise control switch to -SET to activate the cruise control.

    3. Check for DTCs (Click here).

      OK
      DTC P0503 is not output.
