IGNITION SWITCH REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note


    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

    • w/ Navigation System (for HDD):

      After the ignition switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately a minute to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, wait a minute or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER


    1. A01ISMM

      Detach the 4 claws, release the tilt lever and remove the lower steering column cover.

  3. REMOVE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. A01ISW0

      Detach the claw and disconnect the key interlock solenoid wire harness connector from the ignition switch connector.

    2. A01IT7K

      Disconnect the ignition switch connector.

    3. A01IRYC

      Remove the 2 screws and ignition switch.
