EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR (for DPF) REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER


    1. A01INMI

      Hold the rear of the No. 1 engine cover and slowly raise it to detach the clip on the rear of the No. 1 engine cover. Continue to raise the No. 1 engine cover to detach the 3 clips on the front and side of the No. 1 engine cover and remove the No. 1 engine cover.

      Note

      Attempting to disengage both front and rear clips at the same time may cause the cover to break.

  2. REMOVE EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

    Note

    If the exhaust gas temperature sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.

      Detach the exhaust gas temperature sensor connector clamp.

    2. Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, remove the exhaust gas temperature sensor.

  3. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE NO. 4 MANIFOLD CONVERTER INSULATOR

      Remove the 4 bolts and No. 4 manifold converter insulator.

  5. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

      Remove the bolt, nut and manifold stay.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY

      Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 manifold stay.

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD STAY


    1. A01IUQ6

      Remove the 2 bolts, nut and No. 2 exhaust manifold stay.

  8. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. A01ITX8

      Remove the 3 nuts, exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly and gasket.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

    Note

    If the No. 2 exhaust gas temperature sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.

      Detach the No. 2 exhaust gas temperature sensor connector clamp.

    2. Remove the nut and clamp.

    3. Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, remove the No. 2 exhaust gas temperature sensor.

  10. REMOVE NO. 3 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

    Note

    If the No. 3 exhaust gas temperature sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.

      Detach the No. 3 exhaust gas temperature sensor connector clamp.

    2. Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, remove the No. 3 exhaust gas temperature sensor.
