POWER STEERING ECU REMOVAL

  1. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

  2. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL


    1. Remove the upper instrument panel Click here.

  3. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the steering column Click here.

  4. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY

    *1 Bas Bar Cover
    *2 Power Terminal Cover

    1. Remove the 2 terminal covers.


      1. For bus bar cover:

        Detach the 3 claws and remove the cover.

      2. For power terminal cover:

        Detach the 6 claws and remove the cover.

    2. Remove the 2 pieces of tape.

    3. Remove the 2 terminal screws.

    4. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    5. Remove the 2 clamps.

    6. for LHD:

      Cut off the 2 bands.

      for RHD:

      Cut off the band.

      *3 Heat Resistant Tape

      Remove the 3 screws and 2 bolts.

      Note

      Be sure not to remove any other bolts or screws other than those indicated in the illustration.

    8. Remove the power steering ECU from the steering column assembly.
