REAR SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)

    1. Remove the tonneau cover.

  2. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH


    1. w/o Rear No. 2 Seat:

      Remove the deck trim side panel assembly LH Click here.

    2. w/ Rear No. 2 Seat:

      Remove the deck trim side panel assembly LH Click here.

  3. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  4. DISCONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01IQLJ

      Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the rear disc brake cylinder.

      Note


      • Do not disconnect the flexible hose from the disc brake cylinder.

      • Do not twist or bend the flexible hose.

    2. Hang the disc brake cylinder with a piece of wire.

  5. REMOVE REAR DISC

      Place matchmarks on the disc and axle hub.

    2. Release the parking brake.

    3. Remove the shoe adjusting hole plug from the rear disc.

    4. A01IN9O

      Turn the shoe adjuster until the disc turns freely, and then remove the disc.

    5. Install the shoe adjusting hole plug to the rear disc.

  6. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE


    1. Disconnect the skid control sensor wire connector from the vehicle side connector on the rear floor.

    2. A01ITH4

      Detach the grommet of the skid control sensor wire from the hole of the wheel house.

    3. A01ISKG

      Remove the bolt and sensor clamp from the wheel house gusset.

    4. A01IND7

      Remove the nut and sensor clamp from the bracket.

    5. A01IUGL

      Detach the 2 grommets.

    6. Disconnect the connector.

  7. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY LH (SKID CONTROL SENSOR)


    1. Remove the rear axle hub and bearing LH Click here.
