HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TOP REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      *1 Hood to Cowl Top Seal

      Disengage the clip and the hood to cowl top seal from the front fender top reinforcement sub-assembly LH.

    2. A01NIDU

      Remove the clip.

    3. Disengage the 3 clips and 2 guides, and remove the front fender top reinforcement sub-assembly LH.

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TOP REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front fender to cowl side seal LH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  6. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the front wiper arm head cap.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  7. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01NKD4

      Remove the nut and the front wiper arm and blade assembly LH.

  8. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the 2 nuts and the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH.

  9. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 clips.

      A01NKFFE01

    2. Disengage the 6 claws and guide <A>.

    3. Disengage the 10 guides and pull out the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  10. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY


    1. Operate the wiper and stop the windshield wiper motor at the automatic stop position.

      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the clamp.

      w/ Deicer:


      1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

      2. Disengage the clamp.

      Remove the 5 bolts and the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the windshield when removing the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.

  11. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP LH (w/ Air Suspension)

      Remove the 3 nuts and front shock absorber cap.

  12. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP RH (w/ Air Suspension)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  13. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. A01NLF6

      Disconnect the connector (w/ Windshield Deicer).

    2. Disengage the grommet and clamp, and separate the wire harness.

    3. A01NK8L

      Remove the 6 nuts, 4 bolts and outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.

  14. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. A01NJD8

      Disconnect the connector (w/ Windshield Deicer).

    2. Disengage the grommet and clamp, and separate the wire harness.

    3. A01NMSU

      Remove the 6 nuts, 4 bolts and outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.

  15. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)


    1. A01NKRX

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

  16. REMOVE LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. A01NJR2

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and low pitched horn assembly.

  17. REMOVE HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. A01NIXM

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and high pitched horn assembly.

  18. REMOVE SMOG VENTILATION SENSOR (for RHD)


    1. A01NNA9

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the bolt

    3. Disengage the guide and remove the smog ventilation sensor.

  19. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (for LHD)


    1. A01NMRC

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Disengage the clamp and remove the hood lock control cable cover.

  20. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (for RHD)


    1. A01NNBE

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Disengage the clamp and remove the hood lock control cable cover.

  21. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock nut.

    3. A01NIJC

      Disconnect the connector.

    4. Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock assembly.

  22. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Remove the 2 bolts and hood lock nut.

    3. A01NMST

      Disconnect the connector.

    4. Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock assembly.

  23. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. A01NIAE

      Remove the 2 screws <D>.

    2. A01NJMH

      Disengage the claw and 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disconnect each connector.

    4. Disengage each clamp and remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  24. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      Remove the 2 screws <D>.

    2. A01NKQB

      Disengage the claw and 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disconnect each connector.

    4. Disengage each clamp and remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  25. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 3 claws.

    2. A01NIH3

      Remove the hood lock control cable assembly and hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  26. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.

  27. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.
