FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:


    • The nuts must not be reused.

    • Make sure that the front seat frame assembly with adjuster is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

      Install the front seat side airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
    2. A01NKNT

      Engage the 2 clamps.

    3. A01NJGR

      Engage the 3 clamps to install the wire harness.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE


    1. A01NI50

      Engage the 8 clamps and install the front seat wire to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

    2. Connect the 3 connectors.

    3. A01NJLW

      Engage the 3 clamps and install the front seat wire.

    4. Connect the connector.

    5. w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System:

        Engage the 5 clamps.

  3. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Climate Control Seat System)


    1. A01NL1B

      Engage the 2 guides and install the seat heater control sub-assembly.

    2. Connect the connector.

  4. INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR

      Install the seat position sensor to the seat slide position sensor protector with the pin as shown in the illustration.

      Using a 1.3 mm (0.0512 in.) feeler gauge, temporarily install the seat position sensor.

      Note


      • If the seat position sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the seat position sensor with a new one.

      • When installing the seat position sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with or is pinched between other parts.

      Tech Tips

      Be sure that the clearance between the seat position sensor and seat rail is between 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.) and 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the "TORX" screw to install the seat position sensor.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    4. Make sure that the clearance between the seat position sensor and seat rail is between 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.) and 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).

    5. Connect the connector.

    6. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the seat position sensor.

  5. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Engage the 2 hooks and temporarily install the seat cushion climate control blower.

    2. Install the screw.

    3. Connect the connector and install the seat cushion climate control blower as shown in the illustration.

  6. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Engage the 2 claws.

    2. Engage the 2 clamps (A) in the direction indicated by the arrow.

    3. Engage the 2 clamps (B) in the direction indicated by the arrow and install the seat cushion climate control duct.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

  13. INSTALL ACTIVE HEADREST LOWER UNIT

      Install the active headrest lower unit with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

  14. INSTALL ACTIVE HEADREST UPPER UNIT


    1. A01NMSSE01

      Install the active headrest upper unit with the 4 nuts <B>.

      Torque:
      14 N*m  { 143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the cable to the active headrest upper unit with the nut <A> as shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

  15. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

      Install the bush.

    2. A01NKWJ

      Engage the guide.

    3. Install the lumbar support adjuster assembly with the 2 screws.

    4. Connect the connector.

    5. A01NIPM

      Engage the 2 clamps as shown in the illustration.

    6. A01NMZE

      Engage the 4 guides and install the front seatback spring sub-assembly.

    7. A01NM16

      Engage the 4 guides to install the seatback felt.

  16. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)


    1. A01NM2N

      Using a T30 ''TORX'' socket, install the seatback climate control blower and the seatback climate control cover to the seat frame with the 6 ''TORX'' bolts.

      Torque:
      2.6 N*m  { 27 kgf*cm, 23 in.*lbf }

    2. for Driver Side:


      1. A01NM0T

        Engage the 3 clamps and install the wire harness.

      2. Connect the connector.

    3. for Front Passenger Side:


      1. A01NKMT

        Engage the clamp and install the wire harness.

      2. Connect the connector.

  17. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Climate Control Seat System)


    1. A01NKJW

      Using a tacker, install the front seatback heater assembly to the end of the seat cover with the 12 tack pins.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the tack pins, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

  18. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. A01NK9S

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 14 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

  19. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

      Temporarily install the side airbag so that it is stored inside the separate type front seatback cover with pad.

      Note

      Make sure that the side airbag is stored inside the pad correctly. Otherwise the side airbag may not deploy properly.

    2. Install bracket A onto the bolt.

    3. Install bracket B onto the bolt and insert the guide.

    4. Install the front seatback cover bracket with the nut.

      Torque:
      5.6 N*m  { 57 kgf*cm, 50 in.*lbf }

      CAUTION:


      • For vehicles with side airbags, the seatback cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the side airbags may not deploy properly.

      • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.

      • Install the bracket securely.

    5. A01NKGF

      Engage the 6 hooks as shown in the illustration.

    6. A01NIIK

      Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seat frame with 5 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

    7. A01NIOP

      Engage the 2 hooks and install the front seatback cover with pad.

  20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT


    1. A01NKCE

      Engage the 4 claws and install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

  21. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Engage the 2 hooks to install the front seatback board cover sub-assembly.

  22. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01NJSO

      Engage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01NIVF

      Install the front setback board sub-assembly with the 2 screws.

  23. INSTALL NO. 2 TELEVISION BASE (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)

      Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the 5 clips.

    3. A01NJBC

      Install the No. 2 television base with the 4 screws.

  24. INSTALL TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY WITH COVER (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)


    1. Install the television display assembly with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the connector.

  25. INSTALL TELEVISION BASE COVER CAP (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)


    1. Engage the 3 guides and 3 claws to install the television base cover cap.

  26. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Using a tacker, install the front seat cushion heater assembly to the end of the seat cover with the 30 tack pins.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the tack pins, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

  27. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (w/o Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 19 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

    2. A01NKAU

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 2 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

  28. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 15 new hog rings.

      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 2 new hog rings.

  29. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (w/o Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

    3. Install the power seat switch with the 3 screws.

  32. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD

      Engage the guide and temporarily install the front seat cushion inner shield as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01NI6K

      Engage the claw.

    3. Install the front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.

  33. INSTALL SEAT VARIABLE CUSHION SWITCH (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

      Install the seat variable cushion switch with the 2 screws.

  34. INSTALL LUMBAR SWITCH

      Install the lumbar switch with the 2 screws.

      2. Engage the 2 clamps to the install the seat wire to front seat cushion shield assembly with seat variable cushion switch.

    4. Install the front seat cushion shield assembly with the 5 screws.

      Engage the 2 hooks and install the 2 rubber bands of the front seatback board to the seat frame.

  37. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    1. A01NMJR

      Engage the 4 claws and install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  38. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

      Engage the 4 claws and install the reclining power seat switch knob.

  39. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY

      Note

    2. Connect each connector and clamp.

  40. INSTALL POWER SEAT SLIDE MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Using a wire brush, remove any adhesive from the threaded part of the front seat adjuster sliding screw.

    2. Using a non-residue solvent, completely remove any grease or other foreign matter from the threaded part of the front seat adjuster sliding screw and sliding motor bracket bolt hole.

    3. Install the 2 washers to the front seat adjuster sliding screws as shown in the illustration.

    4. Set the power seat slide motor assembly on the front seat adjuster sliding screws.

      • If the splines of the front seat adjuster sliding screws and the power seat slide motor assembly are not aligned, push the power seat slide motor assembly onto the seat adjuster sliding screws while slightly rotating the front seat adjuster sliding screws. Do not rotate the front seat adjuster sliding screws 2 splines or more.

      • Do not apply excessive force to the slide cable.

      • Do not bend the slide cable more than 60 degrees.

      • Make sure that the washers have not fallen off.

    5. Temporarily install the 2 bolts (A).

    6. Temporarily install 2 new bolts (B).

    7. Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, tighten the 2 bolts (A).

    8. Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, tighten the 2 bolts (B).

      Torque:
      4.0 N*m  { 41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

    9. Install the front seat slide motor assembly with 2 new nuts.

      Torque:
      3.4 N*m  { 35 kgf*cm, 30 in.*lbf }

    10. Connect the connector.

    11. Engage the 2 clamps.
