ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM Security Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The security indicator light blinks continuously due to a continuous signal received from the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) while the engine immobiliser is set.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body / Entry & Start / Active Test.

   5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the intelligent tester.

      The security indicator light turns on and off according to operation via the intelligent tester.

   REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

   2. Disconnect the G35 multi-media module receiver assembly*1.

   3. Disconnect the G37 radio receiver assembly*2.

   4. Disconnect the G8 radio receiver assembly*3.

      

   5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G35-37 (SEUC) - F58-2 (IND)*1 Always Below 1 Ω G35-37 (SEUC) - Body ground*1 Always 10 kΩ or higher G37-20 (SEUC) - F58-2 (IND)*2 Always Below 1 Ω G37-20 (SEUC) - Body ground*2 Always 10 kΩ or higher G8-7 (SEUC) - F58-2 (IND)*3 Always Below 1 Ω G8-7 (SEUC) - Body ground*3 Always 10 kΩ or higher

   1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
