DESCRIPTION

The inner rear view mirror assembly receives a reverse shift position signal from the BK/UP LP relay.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK BACK-UP LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Move the shift lever to R and check if the back-up light comes on.

      OK
      The back-up light comes on.

    NG

    GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BK/UP LP RELAY - INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the T5 inner rear view mirror assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T5-3 (REV) - Body ground

      Power switch on (IG)

      Shift lever in R

      		 11 to 14 V
      T5-3 (REV) - Body ground

      Power switch on (IG)

      Shift lever in any position except R

      		 Below 1 V

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK
