DESCRIPTION

The multi-media module receiver assembly and stereo component amplifier assembly are connected by the MOST communication line.

When a MOST communication error occurs between the multi-media module receiver assembly and stereo component amplifier assembly, this DTC will be stored.

  • When replacing the multi-media module receiver assembly or telematics transceiver, perform vehicle contract setting (w/ Telematics Transceiver) Click here.

  • When replacing the multi-media module receiver assembly, perform vehicle contract setting (w/o Telematics Transceiver) Click here.

  1. CHECK DTC


    1. If DTC B15C3 is output, perform the troubleshooting of DTC B15C3 first.

  2. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)


    1. Check for optional components.


      1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

        Tech Tips


        • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect MOST communication.

        • This DTC may be stored when a MOST communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

  3. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)


    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).

      Note

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

    1. Disconnect the O42 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the O43 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G45 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the O43 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G45 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      O43-5 (MO+) - G45-2 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      O43-6 (MO-) - G45-3 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
