INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - AUXILIARY BATTERY, BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the O42 and O33 stereo component amplifier assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O42-3 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      O42-18 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O42-1 (+B) - O42-3 (GND) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      O42-16 (+B2) - O42-3 (GND) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      O33-12 (ACC) - O42-3 (GND) Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
