DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is an open or short circuit in the communication line between the rear sensors and the ECU, or when there is a malfunction in a rear sensor.

  • If DTCs are output after repairs, turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the LEXUS parking assist-sensor system on. Then clear the DTCs Click here.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems may be needed Click here.

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (C1AED)


    1. Check for DTCs Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs Click here.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - REAR RIGHT SENSOR)


    1. Disconnect the F111 parking assist ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the X5 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F111-20 (CSB2) - X5-1 (BI) Always Below 1 Ω
      F111-3 (LIN2) - X5-3 (SI) Always Below 1 Ω
      F111-4 (CSG2) - X5-5 (EI) Always Below 1 Ω
