DESCRIPTION

The headlight swivel motor receives a signal from the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) to operate. The AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) receives a signal indicating the operating conditions of the headlight swivel motor.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2417 or B2418 is not output.

    NG

    PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER Click here

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Start the engine.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body / AFS / Active Test.

    6. Check that the swivel motors operate.

      ON: Moves up

      OFF: Stops

    1. Disconnect the A53 AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) connector.

      1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU - HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A53 AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) connector.

    2. Disconnect the A71 headlight assembly LH connector or A73 headlight assembly RH connector.

    3. w/ AFS


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
