  1. CUSTOMIZING FUNCTION WITH INTELLIGENT TESTER

    Tech Tips

    The following items can be customized.

    Note


    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.

    • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.

    • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting / Light Control or Illuminated Entry.

    5. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

      Response Time*1 Normal Changes the delay timing of lighting the taillights when going into a tunnel when the light control switch is in the AUTO position. Long / Normal Main Body ECU (Multiplex Network Body ECU)

      DRL Function On ON/OFF of the DRL function On or Off

      Disp Ex OFF Sen Normal Changes the ambient brightness level required to cancel the dimming of the lights such as the indicator lights of the combination meter, A/C indicator light and clock.*C Light2, Light1, Normal, Dark1 or Dark2
      Follow Me Home Lighting Time*2 30 s Sets up the headlight lighting time after the engine switch off. 30 s, 60 s, 90 s or 120 s
      Light up Clearance Lights at Door Unlock Function ON This function turns on the parking lights and the taillights for 15 seconds when the doors are unlocked by the smart key or the wireless key. ON or OFF

      Exterior Light Control ON Changes the door mirror foot light control. ON or OFF
    6. Customizing with the Multi-display


      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      2. Enter the following menus: MENU / Setup / Vehicle / Vehicle customization / Light Settings.

      3. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

        Exterior Lights Off Timer 15 sec. Changes the lighting time of the door mirror foot lights. Off, 7.5 sec., 15 sec. or 30 sec.

    7. Customizing using the combination meter assembly

      Tech Tips


      • Press the UP/DOWN switch on the steering pad switch assembly when changing the displayed item and item settings.

      • Press the ENTER switch on the steering pad switch assembly when selecting an item.


      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      2. Press and hold the MENU switch on the steering pad switch assembly.

      3. Select the setting by referring to the table below:

      4. Press the ENTER switch on the steering pad switch assembly.

      5. The setting completion screen will be displayed.

      6. Return to the item selection screen.
