LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM (w/ Side Monitor System) Clearance Warning Buzzer Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit consists of the No. 1 clearance warning buzzer and parking assist ECU. An ECU-excited type buzzer is used. The ECU operates the buzzer using a sound pattern that changes depending on the distance to the obstacle.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Clearance Sonar / Active Test.

    5. Check that the buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER)


    1. Disconnect the F27 No. 1 clearance warning buzzer connector.

    2. Disconnect the F103 parking assist ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F103-7 (BBZ) - F27-1 (Z+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F103-6 (EF) - F27-2 (Z-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F103-7 (BBZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F103-6 (EF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. REPLACE NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER


    1. Replace the No. 1 clearance warning buzzer with a new or known good one Click here.
