INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When replacing the multi-media module receiver assembly or telematics transceiver, perform vehicle contract setting (w/ Telematics Transceiver) Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR


    1. Disconnect the O42 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G25 telematics transceiver connector (w/ Telematics Transceiver).

    3. Disconnect the I6 and J6 front No. 3 speaker assembly connectors.

    4. Disconnect the I5 and J4 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    5. Disconnect the I3 and J2 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    6. Disconnect the K4 and L4 rear No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    7. Disconnect the K1 and L1 rear No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    8. Disconnect the O24 and P30 quarter side speaker assembly connectors (for 15 Speakers).

    9. Disconnect the H2 front No. 4 speaker assembly connector.

    10. Disconnect the P22 rear No. 3 speaker assembly connector.

    11. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

    12. Measure the resistance between the telematics transceiver and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness (w/ Telematics Transceiver).

      G25-6 (SPO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    13. Measure the resistance between each of the front No. 2 speaker assemblies and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      I5-3 (+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I5-4 (-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J4-3 (+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    14. Measure the resistance between each of the rear No. 2 speaker assemblies and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Tech Tips


      • Connect all the connectors to the front No. 2 speaker assemblies that were disconnected.

      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left front speaker is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.

      • Perform the above inspection on both LH and RH sides.
