AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM (w/o Multi-display) Microphone Circuit between Microphone and Radio Receiver

DESCRIPTION

Using this circuit, the radio receiver assembly sends power to the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly), and the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) sends microphone signals to the radio receiver assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY) - RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the T10 map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    2. Disconnect the G10 radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G10-1 (SNS2) - T10-36 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      G10-3 (MACC) - T10-33 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      G10-2 (MIN+) - T10-34 (MCO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G10-5 (MIN-) - T10-35 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G10-1 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G10-3 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G10-2 (MIN+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G10-5 (MIN-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G10-6 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  2. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the G10 radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY)


    1. Reconnect the G10 radio receiver assembly connector.

      Reconnect the T10 map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (ACC).

    4. Connect an oscilloscope to terminals 34 (MCO+) and 35 (MCO-) of the T10 map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    5. Check the waveform of the telephone microphone assembly using the oscilloscope.
