This DTC is stored when a malfunction occurs in the speakers.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR


    1. Disconnect the O42 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the J2 and I3 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Disconnect the J4 and I5 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    4. Disconnect the J6 and I6 front No. 3 speaker assembly connectors.

    5. Disconnect the L4 and K4 rear No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    6. Disconnect the H2 front No. 4 speaker assembly connector.

    7. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      O42-28 (FR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      O42-5 (WFR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    8. Measure the resistance between each of the front No. 2 speaker assemblies and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

    REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the malfunction disappears when a known good speaker is installed (Click here).

      OK
      Malfunction disappears.
      Tip:
      • Connect all the connectors to the front No. 2 speaker assemblies that were disconnected.

      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left front speaker is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.

      • Perform the above inspection on both LH and RH sides.
