BRAKE ACTUATOR REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)

    Note

    After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. PRECAUTION (w/ Air Suspension)

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER


    1. A019LQM

      Remove the 4 clips.

    2. Disengage the guide and remove the engine room side cover.

  5. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET


    1. A019MTEE01

      Remove the bolt and separate the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly from the brake actuator bracket assembly.

    2. A019KZ2E01

      Separate the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly from the clamp, and then place the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly next to the clamp.

      Note

      Do not damage the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

    3. A019NUPE01

      Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.

      Note

      Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.

      *1 Flare Nut A (10 mm)
      *2 Flare Nut B (12 mm)

      Using union nut wrenches (10 mm and 12 mm), disconnect the 6 brake lines from the brake actuator with bracket.

      *2 To front wheel cylinder LH
      *3 To rear wheel cylinder RH
      *4 To rear wheel cylinder LH
      *5 From 1st master cylinder chamber
      *6 From 2nd of master cylinder chamber

      Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect.

    6. A019L2O

      Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator with bracket from the body.

      Note

      Do not damage the brake lines or wire harness.

  6. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A019PAY

      Remove the piping clamp.

      Note

      Do not damage the clamp.

    2. A019LC1

      Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator assembly from the brake actuator bracket assembly.
