SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU


    1. A019N10

      Connect the 3 connectors.

    2. A019OGH

      Install the suspension control ECU to the bracket with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • Avoid any impact to the suspension control ECU.

      • Do not drop the ECU. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.

      • If the suspension control ECU is replaced with a new one, perform registration of vehicle identification information Click here.

    3. A019PIM

      Connect the 4WD ECU assembly connector.

    4. Install the 4WD ECU assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }
  2. INSTALL ECU INTEGRATION BOX RH


    1. A019K2P

      Install the ECU integration box RH with the 2 nuts and bolt.

    2. A019M15

      Install the No. 3 connector holder with the nut and claw.

    3. A019LY9

      Connect each connector.

  3. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect each connector.

    2. Engage the claw, 4 clips and guide.

    3. Install the glove compartment door assembly with the 5 screws <F>.

  4. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the engine switch is off.

    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. A019PFU

      Connect the airbag connector to the front passenger side knee airbag assembly.

      Note

      When connecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    4. A019PG2

      Temporarily install the front passenger side knee airbag assembly with the claw.

    5. Install the front passenger side knee airbag assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Confirm that the front passenger side knee airbag assembly is installed securely without any excessive gaps and is not protruding outward.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Remove the protective tape.

  5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH RH (w/o Airbag Cut Off Switch)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH RH (w/ Airbag Cut Off Switch)


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. A019PDB

      Engage the 6 clips to install the instrument panel garnish RH.

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. A019LOA

      Engage the 2 guides and 4 claw to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  8. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side Click here.

  10. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL


    1. A019KVZ

      Engage the 7 clips to install the lower instrument panel finish panel as shown in the illustration.

  11. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the clamp.

    2. Connect each connector.

    3. A019MFZ

      Engage the 3 claws and 3 clips.

    4. w/o Seat Heater System:


      1. Connect the connector to the console box hole cover.

    5. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Connect the connector.

      2. Engage the 6 claws to install the seat heater switch with console box hole cover.

    6. A019LES

      Engage the 4 claws and 4 clips to install the upper console panel sub-assembly.

  12. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A019LZO

      Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly clockwise to install the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

  13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  14. INSPECT SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM

    Note

    If the suspension control ECU is replaced with a new one, perform registration of vehicle identification information.

  15. ADJUST VEHICLE HEIGHT

    Note

    If the suspension control ECU has been replaced, be sure to adjust the vehicle height.

  16. PERFORM INITIALIZATION


    1. Perform initialization Click here.

      Note

      Some systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  17. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT


    1. Check the SRS warning light Click here.

  18. ADJUST HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Adjust the headlight Click here.
