TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING UNIT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE BATTERY


    1. Disconnect the positive (+) cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.

    2. A019LTJ

      Loosen the nut, and remove the bolt from the battery clamp.

    3. Remove the battery and battery tray.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Lift the rear of the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly to detach the cover from the 2 pins, and then lift the front of the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly to detach the cover from the pin and remove the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.

      Note

      Attempting to disengage both front and rear clips at the same time may cause the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly to break.

  4. REMOVE INLET NO. 2 AIR CLEANER


    1. A019ODB

      Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 air cleaner inlet.

  5. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER


    1. A019LTK

      Remove the bolt and No. 1 air cleaner inlet.

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the vacuum switching valve connector and fuel vapor feed hose.

    2. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and separate the wire harness clamp from the air cleaner.

    3. A019MRD

      Disconnect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose from the vacuum switching valve and air cleaner hose.

    4. A019KQV

      Disconnect the vacuum switching valve connector and 2 wire harness clamps from the air cleaner.

    5. A019M7X

      Disconnect the ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover.

    6. A019MIG

      Disconnect the vacuum hose and separate it from the 2 hose clamps of the air cleaner hose.

    7. Loosen the bolt of the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner hose from the throttle body assembly.

    8. A019M9R

      Remove the 2 bolts and move the air cleaner assembly upward to disengage and remove it from the throttle body assembly.

  7. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Move the shift lever to N.

    2. A019JTM

      Disconnect the wire harness clamp.

    3. A019LMN

      Remove the nut from the control shaft lever.

    4. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and disconnect the control cable with clip from the control cable bracket.

    5. Remove the clip.

    6. A019NKM

      Turn back the carpet.

    7. Remove the 3 bolts and pull out the transmission control cable assembly from the body.
