THERMOSTAT REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT


    1. Loosen the radiator drain cock and drain the coolant.

      CAUTION:

      Do not remove the radiator cap and radiator drain cock while the engine and radiator are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant and steam may be released and cause serious burns.

      Tech Tips

      Collect the coolant in a container and dispose of it according to the regulations in your area.

    2. Loosen the air drain valve.

    3. Remove the radiator cap from the radiator assembly.

  3. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

  4. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. A019LBV

      Disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose.

  5. REMOVE WATER INLET


    1. A019MPU

      Remove the 2 nuts and water inlet.

  6. REMOVE THERMOSTAT


    1. Remove the thermostat.

    2. Remove the gasket from the thermostat.
