EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the No. 2 radiator assembly Click here.

  2. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH

      Disconnect the 3 clips.

    2. Remove the 2 screws, 4 bolts and front floor cover LH.

  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 3 clamps and oxygen sensor connector (for Bank 1 Sensor 2).

      Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts, 2 compression springs and No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

    3. Remove the 3 gaskets from the No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

      Remove the bolt, nut and manifold stay.

  5. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector (for Bank 1 Sensor 1).

      Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH.

  6. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET

      Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1)

      Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold RH.

  8. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. A019OUN

      Disconnect the No. 2 oxygen sensor connector (for Bank 2 Sensor 2).

    2. A019OPWE01

      Loosen the bolt (A).

    3. Remove the 2 bolts (B), 2 nuts and front exhaust pipe assembly.

    4. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY


    1. A019OEY

      Remove the bolt, nut and No. 2 manifold stay.

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE


    1. A019PLI

      Remove the oil level dipstick.

    2. Remove the bolt and No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide.

    3. A019MI3

      Remove the O-ring from the No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide.

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR


    1. A019LV3

      Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector (for Bank 2 Sensor 1).

    2. Disconnect the sensor wire from the radiator pipe clamp.

      Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator.

  12. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A019KC8

      Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH.

  13. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET LH


    1. A019ONUE01

      Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket LH from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  14. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR NO.2 (for Bank 2 Sensor 1)


    1. Use the same procedure for bank 1 and bank 2.
