REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the connector and remove the fuel sender gauge from the fuel suction tube.
REMOVE FUEL SUCTION PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the fuel pump connector from the fuel suction plate.
Note
Do not damage the wire harness.

Using needle nozzle pliers, remove the E-ring.

Separate the fuel suction plate and remove the spring from the sub-tank.
Note
Do not disconnect the tube shown in the illustration when disassembling the fuel suction tube assembly with pump and gauge. Doing so will cause reassembly of the fuel suction tube assembly with pump and gauge to be impossible as the tube is welded to the plate.
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the fuel filter from the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.
Using a screwdriver with the tip taped, disengage the claw of the jet pump nozzle.
Separate the fuel pump filter hose.
Using a screwdriver with the tip taped, remove the fuel pump filter hose.
REMOVE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY WITH FILTER
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 5 claws and remove the fuel pump assembly with filter from the fuel filter.
Note
Do not damage the fuel filter.
Do not remove the suction filter.
Do not use either the fuel pump or the suction filter if the suction filter is removed from the fuel pump.
Disconnect the fuel pump connector.
Remove the fuel pump filter seal from the fuel pump. If the fuel pump filter seal still remains in the fuel filter element, remove it using a wire tip (φ1 mm) that is formed as shown in the illustration.
Note
Be careful not to damage the sealing surfaces.
Remove the fuel pump spacer from the fuel pump.
REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL SUCTION SUPPORT
Using a screwdriver with the tip taped, disengage the 2 claws and remove the fuel No. 1 suction support.
