FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Air Suspension)

  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH

      Remove the 2 bolts, clip and front fender apron seal RH.

  5. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

      Release the V-ribbed belt tension by turning the V-ribbed belt tensioner counterclockwise, and remove the V-ribbed belt from the V-ribbed belt tensioner.

    2. While turning the V-ribbed belt tensioner counterclockwise, align with its holes, and then insert a 5 mm bi-hexagon wrench into the holes to fix the V-ribbed belt tensioner.

  6. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

      Using SST, loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt.

      Using SST, remove the crankshaft pulley bolt and crankshaft pulley.

      Remove the pulley set key from the crankshaft.

  7. REMOVE TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL

      *2 Cut Position

      Using a knife, cut off the timing chain case oil seal lip.

    2. Using a screwdriver, pry out the timing chain case oil seal.

      Note

      After the removal, check the crankshaft for damage. If it is damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
