ACCELERATOR PEDAL ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Accel Sensor Out No. 1 and Accel Sensor Out No. 2.

    5. Read the values displayed on the intelligent tester.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Display Condition Specified Condition
      Accelerator Position No. 1 Accelerator pedal is released 0.5 to 1.1 V
      Accelerator pedal is fully depressed 2.6 to 4.5 V
      Standard Voltage
      Tester Display Condition Specified Condition
      Accelerator Position No. 2 Accelerator pedal is released 1.2 to 2.0 V
      Accelerator pedal is fully depressed 3.4 to 4.98 V

      If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal assembly, wire harness or ECM.
