  1. SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


    1. Driver side seat belt warning light:

      When the driver side seat belt is not fastened with the engine switch on (IG), the driver side seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly blinks.

    2. Front passenger side seat belt warning light:

      When the front passenger side seat belt is not fastened with the engine switch on (IG) and the front passenger seat occupied, the front passenger side seat belt warning light on the multi-media module receiver assembly*1, radio receiver assembly*2 or accessory meter assembly*3 blinks.

    3. Seat belt warning buzzer:

      After turning the engine switch on (IG), if the driver seat belt is not fastened within 1.8 seconds, check that the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds at 1.2 seconds intervals for 6 seconds.*5

      When the vehicle is driven at approximately 20 km/h (12 mph) while the driver or front passenger side seat belt is not fastened the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds at an interval of 1.2 seconds for 30 seconds*4 or 9.6 seconds*5. After that, the buzzer sounds at an interval of 0.4 seconds for 90 seconds*4 or 20 seconds*5.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Component Function

    Front seat inner belt assembly (Driver side)

    (Driver side seat belt buckle switch)

    		 Informs the center airbag sensor assembly of the driver side seat belt condition (fastened or unfastened).

    Front seat inner belt assembly (Front passenger side)

    (Front passenger side seat belt buckle switch)

    		 Informs the combination meter assembly of the front passenger side seat belt condition (fastened or unfastened).
    Occupant detection sensor (Separate type front seat cushion pad) Informs the combination meter assembly of the front passenger side seat condition (occupied or unoccupied).
    Center airbag sensor assembly Sends the driver side seat belt buckle switch signal to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
