B2090 Driving Support System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The seat belt control ECU receives collision information from the driving support ECU and skid control ECU via CAN communication, and tightens the seat belt by operating the motor inside the front seat outer belt.

When the driving support ECU detects a malfunction in the dynamic radar cruise control system and pre-crash safety system, the malfunction information is sent to the seat belt control ECU, which outputs this DTC.

When DTC B2090 is detected, other DTCs are also stored by the driving support ECU (dynamic radar cruise control system and pre-crash).

Tech Tips

When clearing the DTCs, first clear the DTC output from the driving support ECU, and then clear the DTC output from the seat belt control ECU.

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Check DTCs for dynamic radar cruise control system. Click here.

      Dynamic radar cruise control system DTCs are not output.

    GO TO DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Click here

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DRIVING SUPPORT ECU (PRE-CRASH 2))


    1. Using the intelligent tester, enter the following menus: Body / Pre-Crash 2 / DTC.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Check for DTCs.

      OK
      "Pre-Crash 2" DTC is not output.
