  2. REMOVE ENGINE WITH TRANSMISSION

  3. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01FTJ0

      Remove the clip, pin and floor shift gear shifting rod sub-assembly from the transmission control shaft lever.

  4. REMOVE MOTOR HEAT INSULATOR


    1. A01FRMH

      Remove the 4 bolts and motor heat insulator from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

  5. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS

      Disconnect the generator resolver sensor connector.

    2. Disconnect the motor resolver sensor connector.

    3. Disconnect the 2 clamps and wire harness from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

    4. Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the wire harness from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

      Disconnect the shift lever position sensor connector.

    6. Disconnect the 2 clamps and wire harness from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

  6. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

    2. A01FQ9P

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 wire harness clamp brackets from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

  7. REMOVE UPPER TRANSAXLE COVER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01FQEN

      Remove the bolt and upper transaxle cover assembly from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 EARTH WIRE


    1. A01FSNT

      Remove the bolt and No. 2 earth wire from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

  9. REMOVE GENERATOR CABLE

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    Note


    • Cover the hole where the generator cable was connected with tape or equivalent (nonresidue type) to prevent entry of foreign matter.

    • Insulate the removed terminals with insulating tape.

    • When removing the generator cable, make sure not to bend the generator cable base on the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly side.


    1. Release the motor cable side lock of the wiring harness clamp to disconnect the motor cable from the wiring harness clamp as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Place a matchmark on the motor cable before disconnecting the motor cable from the wiring harness clamp.

    2. Disconnect the clamp from the generator cable.

    3. Disconnect the 3 clamps from the engine assembly and hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

      Using an insulated tool, remove the 2 bolts and connector cover from the generator cable and hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

    5. A01FUDH

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the terminal cap from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

    6. A01FT53

      Using an insulated tool, remove the 5 bolts and generator cable from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

  10. REMOVE MOTOR CABLE

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    Note


    • Cover the hole where the motor cable was connected with tape or equivalent (nonresidue type) to prevent entry of foreign matter.

    • When removing the motor cable, make sure not to bend the motor cable base on the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly side.


    1. Release the motor cable side lock of the wiring harness clamp to disconnect the motor cable from the wiring harness clamp as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Place a matchmark on the motor cable before disconnecting the motor cable from the wiring harness clamp.

    2. Disconnect the 2 clamps from the engine assembly and hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

      Using an insulated tool, remove the 2 bolts and connector cover from the motor cable and hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the terminal cap from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

    5. A01FRJH

      Using an insulated tool, remove the 5 bolts and motor cable from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

  11. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING MEMBER

    Tech Tips

    Данную процедуру следует выполнять только в том случае, если требуется замена задней подушки опоры двигателя № 1.

    1. Отверните 4 гайки и снимите элемент задней опоры двигателя с задней подушки опоры двигателя № 1.

  12. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR

    Tech Tips

    Данную процедуру следует выполнять только в том случае, если требуется замена задней подушки опоры двигателя № 1.

      Выверните 4 болта и снимите заднюю подушку опоры двигателя № 1 с гибридной трансмиссии в сборе.

  13. REMOVE OIL COOLER WITHOUT HOSE TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the oil cooler without hose tube sub-assembly from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and oil cooler without hose tube sub-assembly from the engine assembly.

  14. SUPPORT HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY

      Support the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly with a transmission jack.

      Note


      • Using an engine sling device and engine lift, secure the engine assembly before service.

      • To prevent the transmission oil pan sub-assembly from deforming, do not place any attachments under the transmission oil pan sub-assembly of the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

      • To protect the transmission oil pan sub-assembly, do not use the transmission oil pan sub-assembly and transmission oil pan sub-assembly setting bolt to support the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly. Place attachments on the transmission jack saddle.

      • Make sure that the attachments and the transmission oil pan sub-assembly are centered on the transmission jack.

      • Secure the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly to the transmission jack using a suitable adapter, such as a rope or attachment.

  15. REMOVE HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 9 bolts and hybrid vehicle transmission assembly from the engine assembly.

      Note

      To avoid damage to the 2 knock pins, do not pry between the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly and the engine assembly.
