| DTC Code | DTC Name |
|---|---|
| P0A94-589 | DC / DC Converter Performance |
| P0A94-590 | DC / DC Converter Performance |
DESCRIPTION
The MG ECU, which is built into the inverter with converter assembly, detects pre-boosting high voltage (VL) using the voltage sensor in the boost converter to control boosting. The MG ECU also monitors the boost converter voltage sensor signal line and detects malfunctions.
| DTC No. | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
|---|---|---|
| P0A94-589 | Boost converter voltage (VL) signal is stuck (Low) (1 trip detection logic) |
Inverter with converter assembly |
| P0A94-590 | Boost converter voltage (VL) signal is stuck (High) (1 trip detection logic) |
Inverter with converter assembly |
| DTC No. | Data List |
|---|---|
| P0A94-589 | VL-Voltage before Boosting |
| P0A94-590 |
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Tech Tips
After the repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.
Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 5 seconds or more.
PROCEDURE
REPLACE INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY
Tech Tips
The boost converter voltage (VL) sensor is connected to the MG ECU inside the inverter with converter assembly. If P0A94-589 or P0A94-590 is output, replace the inverter with converter assembly.
