LIGHTING SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.

    3. Cover the automatic light control sensor.

    4. Check that the taillights and low beam headlights come on.

    5. Uncover the automatic light control sensor.

    6. Check that the low beam headlights and taillights go off.

  2. LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Turn the light control switch to the tail, fog light*1,head or AUTO position.

    3. Turn the ignition switch off.

    4. Remove the key from ignition switch*2.

    5. Check that all of the lights go off immediately.

    • *2: w/o Entry and Start System

  3. DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (for HID Headlight)


    1. Start the engine.

    2. Shift lever is other than in P*.

    3. Release the parking brake.

    4. Turn the light control switch to the off or AUTO position.

    5. Ignition switch is ON.

    6. Check that the clearance lights come on.

  4. DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (for Halogen Headlight)


    1. Start the engine.

    2. Shift lever is other than in P*1.

    3. Release the parking brake.

    4. Turn the light control switch to the off.

    5. Check that the daytime running light*2 or fog light assembly (daytime running lights)*3 come on.

  5. FOLLOW ME HOME SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Remove the key from ignition switch.

    3. The dimmer switch is pulled to flash headlights.

    4. Check that the low beam headlights come on for a certain period.

  6. INSPECT BATTERY SAVER


    1. Remove the key from ignition switch, turn the light control switch to HEAD to illuminate the headlights.

    2. Check that the headlights and taillights turn off when the light control switch remain in the same condition for 20 minutes.
