LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the connectors.

    2. Engage the 12 claws and clamp.

    3. Connect the aspirator pipe from the air conditioning unit assembly (for LHD with Automatic Air Conditioning System).

    4. Install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly with the 2 screws and nut.

  2. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR DAMPER


    1. Engage the claw to install the glove compartment door damper.

  3. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Horizontally engage the 2 hinges of the outer glove compartment door.

      Note

      Make sure to install the glove compartment door assembly hinges horizontally.

    2. Engage the 2 stoppers to install the glove compartment door assembly.

    3. Engage the claw to install the glove compartment door damper.

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Knee Airbag)


    1. for LHD


      1. Engage the 3 claws and 4 clips and install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

    2. for RHD


      1. Engage the 3 claws and 4 clips.

      2. Connect the cooler thermistor hose and connector and install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Knee Airbag)

  6. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL METER ORNAMENT


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the 2 claws that are holding the upper instrument panel meter ornament and steering column cover together.

    3. Engage the 2 clips and 6 claws.

    4. Install the upper instrument panel meter ornament with the screw.

  7. INSTALL METER HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 12 claws.

    2. Install the meter hood sub-assembly with the screw.

  8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH (w/ Airbag Cut Off Switch)


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the 4 clips and claw to install the instrument side panel RH.

  9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH (w/o Airbag Cut Off Switch)


    1. Engage the 4 clips and claw to install the instrument side panel RH.

  10. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  11. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

  13. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (w/o Air Conditioning System)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the manual air conditioning system.

  14. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)


    1. Engage the 3 claws.

    2. Install the upper instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly with the screw.

  15. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH


    1. Engage the 6 claws.

    2. Install the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish with the screw.

  16. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  18. INSTALL STEREO OPENING COVER WITH BRACKET (w/o Radio Receiver)


    1. Install the stereo opening cover with bracket with the 4 screws.

  19. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/ Radio Receiver)

  20. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 4 clips and 2 claws to install the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

  21. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  22. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:
    6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }
