FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION:

  • Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may may injure your hands.

  • If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage. Click here

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

    Click here

  3. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (for Driver Side)

  4. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

    Click here

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

    Click here

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD

  7. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. A004J3Z

      Remove the 2 nuts and the front seat airbag assembly.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
